International Wholesale Tile Donates $14,020 to American Red Cross
PALM CITY, FLA. - October 7, 2005 - International Wholesale Tile, a subsidiary of IWT Tesoro Corporation (OTCBB: IWTT), a leading wholesale provider of hard and soft floor and wall covering materials, today announced the contribution of $14,020 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
The three-day campaign called "Labor of Love" encouraged the company's 125 employees to donate monetarily, which the company would match dollar for dollar. Employees contributed a total of $7,010, bringing the total donation to $14,020.
Edward Cowles, American Red Cross/Martin County Chapter board member said, "IWT has shown extraordinary care and compassion by supporting the American Red Cross's efforts to aid those suffering from the impact of Hurricane Katrina and we are grateful for their support."
Additionally, IWT collected seven pallets' worth of clothing and household items, as well as water and diapers. These items were sorted, packaged and shipped to Ocean Springs, Mississippi where they were distributed into the community. Ocean Springs was chosen because of IWT customers Keith and Vicky Rhodes, who own three floor covering stores in the area - one of which was totally destroyed - and their need for assistance.
